Aurora Sound Studios was founded in 2010 by Liam O'Connell, a seasoned audio engineer with a passion for music and a vision to create a world-class recording facility in the heart of Seattle's vibrant Fremont neighborhood. Liam, a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, recognized the need for a studio that not only offered state-of-the-art equipment but also fostered a collaborative and inspiring environment for artists.
Starting with a small, acoustically treated room and a handful of vintage microphones, Liam slowly built Aurora Sound Studios into the premier recording destination it is today. Through years of dedication, hard work, and a commitment to providing exceptional service, Aurora Sound Studios has earned a reputation for excellence within the Seattle music scene and beyond.

Founder & Head Engineer
Liam is a seasoned audio engineer with over 15 years of experience in the music industry. He holds a degree in Music Production from Berklee College of Music and has worked with a wide range of artists, from indie bands to Grammy-winning musicians. Liam is passionate about helping artists achieve their sonic vision and is known for his meticulous attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
Ava Rodriguez
Mixing & Mastering Engineer
Ava is a highly skilled mixing and mastering engineer with a keen ear for detail and a passion for sonic perfection. She has a degree in Audio Engineering from the University of Washington and has worked on countless successful projects, helping artists achieve a polished and professional sound. Ava is known for her ability to bring out the best in every recording and is committed to providing exceptional service to her clients.
Kenji Tanaka
Recording Engineer & Studio Assistant
Kenji is a talented recording engineer and studio assistant with a passion for all things audio. He is currently pursuing a degree in Audio Production at Seattle Central College and is eager to learn from the experienced engineers at Aurora Sound Studios. Kenji is a valuable asset to the team and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our clients have a positive and productive recording experience.
